Darryl's friends were always very important to him. Whenever they wanted to play a sport or a game, Darryl was always ready to join in the fun.
But when Darryl was in fourth grade, an older boy named Dwayne started picking on him. It wasn't unusual for the boys to tease and roughhouse. But lately. Dwayne's teasing had gone too far. He was acting more like a bully than a friend.
One day after school, Darryl made a frantic phone call home. "Mom, get the car and come pick me up. I'm in Patrick's garage!"
