Mary Baker Eddy writes in Science and Health, "When the Science of being is universally understood, every man will be his own physician, and Truth will be the universal panacea" (p. 144). I have had many opportunities to prove this.
One healing, an example of God's loving care for me, occurred about two years ago when I noticed my hair was beginning to fall out. At first the loss was slight; however, it soon became apparent that if I didn't do something—and quickly—a wig was in my future.
Initially this situation alarmed me greatly. I'd always had thick hair and had never experienced anything like this before. But soon came the realization that in feeling this way I was only misunderstanding what constitutes my actual selfhood. I had complete faith, from previous healings, that this problem could be solved through spiritual enlightenment.
