Ever since I was a child and learned of the teachings of Christian Science, I have tended to need a "push" to make me put them into use and make them a practical part of my life.

One day I suddenly found I could not hear in one ear. At first I thought it was just a buildup of wax which needed to be flushed out, and this I tried. Nothing!

At work I could get along by answering the telephone and listening with my other ear. I could hear what was going on around me, though it was slightly muffled. Thus I did nothing at first, complacently thinking the problem would clear up by morning. It didn't.
