We'd been having visitors staying with us
We'd been having visitors staying with us. Because of this we were all tired, having stayed up late at night with our friends. On the day that our last visitor went home, we were going to a party in the afternoon, so Mum said, "Why don't we all have a rest?" We all thought that this was a good idea, so my mum and sisters and I lay down to take a rest.
Just as I was dropping off to sleep, my baby sister woke up and started crying, so I went and picked her up.
Now, I was very tired and it was a warm day and my little sister weighed quite a lot. I began to feel ill. I went to one of my sisters and then to my older brother to see if someone would take the baby. But they each said, "No." Then I began to feel even more ill. I sat on the stairs with little Mary, feeling that I might faint, when I quickly thought of God.
