Almost twenty years have passed since I became a student...
Almost twenty years have passed since I became a student of Christian Science, and I would like to give glory to God for the many blessings and healings that I have experienced as a result of a deeper understanding of God. Before finding Christian Science, I was raised in a Christian home and had a sincere faith in God. But after reading Science and Health and other writings by Mrs. Eddy, along with the Bible, I realized I had found the "pearl of great price"—an infinitely expanded view of God as Life, Truth, and Love, and of man as His image.
This inner peace and understanding of God and His creation is seen in many areas of my life: a greater concern for my neighbor, a loving marriage and family, protection from illness, as well as finding employment and housing when needed. I have had numerous physical healings, too, and would like to tell about two in particular.
Some years ago, when I was at the home of friends for a fondue supper, the pot on the stove heating the oil burst into flames. After attempting to smother the fire, I carried the pot outside. But before I could set it down, I dropped it and the hot oil splashed onto my bare legs.
