Taking care of our health
In many countries today the price of health care is coming under government and public scrutiny as medical costs continue to soar. Large numbers of people are unable to afford medical treatment. Some are looking into alternative remedies and what is termed a holistic approach to health.
Families seeking a more Biblically based approach to healing are finding that an effective way to care for their health lies in the practice of the original Christianity that Christ Jesus taught and demonstrated. Mary Baker Eddy, in her own long search for better health through various material methods, found her complete answer as she studied the Gospels and discovered the spiritual laws that underlay the Master's healing work. She called her discovery Christian Science.
This Science of Christianity, together with its practical effect in countless lives, is having a leavening influence on mankind's concept of both religion and medicine. Thoughtful physicians are beginning to realize that a person's faith and mental attitude contribute directly to his or her state of health and well-being.
