INSIDE: LOOKING INTO THIS ISSUE
Most of us have had moments, at least, when we asked ourselves, Is this the way I want to live the rest of my life? Should I be living this way? The moment passes, and we slip back into a lifestyle that seems unavoidable or, possibly, just too familiar to change. But the truth remains that we really do have a choice in how we live.
This Sentinel issue is about being active in making such choices—about why and how others have made them.
The first step for many is learning that there is a remarkably different basis on which one can act and live—a spiritual basis. Others than Christian Scientists, of course, have recognized this. As a writer in "Second Thought" says, "I discovered something surprising happening from such simple praying: I was drawn into the presence of One who had, far more than I did, the power to keep me close."
