"Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." This marvelous statement from Romans conveys what Christian Science has pointed out to me—the deep need to "renew" my thought and life, constantly.

I attended a Christian Science Sunday School when I was a child, and I am forever grateful for this. I can say with humility that when I have applied the rules laid out in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, I have been protected and healed many times. Not all healings have come immediately, but each experience caused me to increase in grace a little more, which is essential to spiritual growth.

I am learning that Truth is the victor over all error. One time I stepped off my front porch awkwardly and severely twisted my ankle. As I fell, the other foot and knee also twisted. I remembered an article in an issue of The Christian Science Journal in which the writer told of a time he suffered severe damage to his legs. As he realised that the spiritual truths he was acknowledging in his prayers had to be acted upon, he was able to gain his freedom in a short time.
