"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High." Truly, the most important thing in the world is to glorify God, to bear witness to His power and all-presence.

Unspeakable gratitude motivates me to give this testimony. I have experienced God's love and kindness in my life in rich measure. Through heights as well as depths, proof of God's power and presence has always been clear. My detailed testimony in the April 1977 issue of The Christian Science Journal, which was reprinted in the August 1977 issue of Der Herold der Christlichen Wissenschaft, confirms this; it tells of instantaneous healings I had through prayer in Christian Science.

Nowadays so many reports appear in the media about threats and human rights violations that I am pleased to be able to bear witness firsthand to this passage in Psalms: "The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea."
