I know God's here. So how can I feel His presence?

We know God is with us when Love touches our hearts.

MY friend Kathy is always asking hard questions. Her last one was terrific. It got us both thinking. She said, "I know a lot of words to describe God. But why is it so hard to feel that God is right here?"

Kathy has grown up reading about God in the Bible. I knew that she'd learned there is only one God, the creator of all good, who is "of purer eyes than to behold evil."  Hab. 1:13. He is the source of all life and wisdom. Not only is God our Father, but He is the source of all love, and we are cared for and protected as beloved children.

Kathy and her family take all these statements seriously, and when problems have arisen, they have prayed to see the absolute truth of this all-powerful and good God and to grasp how that goodness is expressed in our lives. And they have had some wonderful healings. But, as she said, "Sometimes it's still awfully hard to know that God's right here, to really feel His presence."
