Being a student of Christian Science has brought great blessings...
Being a student of Christian Science has brought great blessings to my life. Seeing God's goodness and care illustrated in business and in relationships, as well as in health and happiness, brings the deepest joy I could possibly know. Daily study of the Bible Lesson, membership and active participation in a branch church, and Christian Science class instruction have been wonderful provisions for a full spectrum of spiritual growth and understanding.
An instance of healing that has been particularly inspiring to me involved the dislocation of one of my knees. Several years ago, after a normally active day, it became increasingly difficult for me to walk comfortably. As the next day progressed, it was necessary for my husband to support me during our activities, as I could no longer move about unassisted.
Since I had not slipped or fallen, I was tempted to be preoccupied with wondering what could be causing the trouble. The knee seemed completely out of joint. I quickly realized that Christian Science treatment for myself could only begin by looking to God as the only cause and as the cause of good alone. I then gratefully resolved to reason from a purely spiritual standpoint, acknowledging the perfection of God and His idea, man, as the true basis of my prayer.
