Dear Reader
You may recall that a Sentinel issue this past spring included a questionnaire for readers. Lots of readers responded. We're still digging out from under the replies. We plan to include some of the information you all shared with us in a "Back and Forth" column later this year. In the terim you might like to know that about seven thousand readers from all over the world replied.
No, we surely don't think of you in statistical terms. You are relevant readers and good friends Your responses certainly came across that way: full of vital interest, specific support, and independent thought—and most especially a great love for the Cause of Christian Science and what it means for mankind.
We think you might be interested to know that 85 percent of all of those responding said that they had shared the Sentinel with acquaintances, neighbors, relatives, and others. Some 67 percent told us of at least one other person who regularly reads their copy. We believed that was the case from the kind of mail we're seeing and from what is arriving for the "From hand to hand" column, but it is useful to have the confirmation.
