One day last summer I went to my neighbor's house and her mother said to play outdoors. My friend, Alyse, has a playhouse. We were pretending it was Christmas and Alyse and I were decorating.
I saw some pretty ferns in the woods, and Alyse and I went to pick them. I didn't notice a nest of bees, and both my friend and I stepped on it and were stung many times. We ran back to Alyse's house, and I asked her mother if I could call my mom. I called and my mom said to come right home.
My mom saw that I got stung, and she immediately brought out copies of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and the Bible. In Science and Health she read from the chapter "Footsteps of Truth," and she also read from Psalms. Soon I felt better and was not afraid.
