I treasure what I am learning of God and man's true spiritual...
I Treasure what I am learning of God and man's true spiritual selfhood through the study and practice of Christian Science. It is a continuing joy to feel God's presence and power in my life.
About ten years ago I began to feel disabling pain in my joints. It became very difficult for me to move about and even to dress myself. Although I had called devoted Christian Science practitioners at different times, I continued to get worse. When I reached a point where I just didn't care what happened to me, my husband (who is not a student of Christian Science) was very concerned about me and took me to the local hospital. I was diagnosed as having degenerative osteoarthritis.
Drugs to relieve the pain and mental distress were prescribed and taken. This continued for several months, but the medical treatment was inconsistent with my love for God and my reliance on His wisdom. As a sincere student of Christian Science, I'd had many healings through relying on this teaching.
