In an April 1970 issue of the Sentinel, a testimony of my first Christian Science healing was printed. Since that time I have had many more healings through the study and practice of this Science.

In 1976 I was asked to go to Boston and be a contributing guest speaker at the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church. Six weeks prior to the meeting I developed an acute case of impetigo. The difficulty caused me considerable pain and spread to various areas of my body, including my face. In such a condition I thought, "How can I possibly represent Christian Science and convey a healing to message to thousands of members of The Mother Church?"

I prayed to God with all my heart and listened. I knew God, my Father-Mother, loved me and had always loved me. This love of God I never doubted. I also knew that the condition of disease was a lie about the child of God. I recognized that I must cast this lie completely out of my experience through the unwavering acknowledgment of God's ever-present, loving care for me and all His children.
