While I was growing up, I was a regular pupil in a Christian Science Sunday School, where the inscriptions on the walls read: "God is love" (I John 4:16), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 494), and "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). I have found these statements to be true in every aspect of my life, and I'm so thrilled to share this account of God's goodness and love for His children.
Before our son was born, throughout my pregnancy I spent much time studying the Bible and Science and Health. I also prayed to see clearly that this child was God's child, loved by Him and sustained by Him in every way. I became keenly aware of the fact that man's true identity is spiritual, whole, and perfect.
I just loved this prayerful preparation for the arrival of the baby, and I had no fear for his safety and health, knowing that both are God-given and secure.
