When I think of all the good that has come into my life through Christian Science, I realize that I have been remiss in not submitting a testimony before now. I have experienced quick healings through Christian Science of colds, of bee stings, and of an attack of acute appendicitis. Other healings, like that of crippling arthritis, have taken longer. But in every instance the healings have been complete.

A few years ago a dentist, while repairing a partial denture I wore, said to me, "Your gums are in very bad condition. They need to be treated right away." I had no desire to undergo this treatment. The dentist insisted upon the seriousness of the situation, however, and while I was still in the dental chair he telephoned a periodontist in the same building and asked him to come in. The specialist examined my mouth and confirmed the dentist's prognosis that immediate treatment was required in order to save my teeth. I told him that I wanted to think about the matter and that I would phone him.

I knew I didn't want the surgical procedure, but I was fearful of the prospect of losing teeth. When I got home I phoned a Christian Science practitioner for help through prayer.
