We read in Psalms (9:11), "Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings." It's time I obeyed! I have had many healings through Christian Science, but I'd like to tell of one in particular.
About two months before the date of my retirement I woke one morning hardly able to move my legs. I prayed vigorously, declaring my heritage as the spiritual offspring of God, including perfect freedom and right activity. Through earnest, daily prayer and a better understanding of my God-given dominion, I was able to complete my work as scheduled.
In the period immediately following my retirement, I spent a great deal of time studying the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I worked in particular with ideas related to spiritualizing thought and to what true, eternal substance actually is. I also studied references that included the synonyms for God identified in Science and Health on page 465 and the platform beginning on page 330. I realized that I could trust in God's control and that nothing could interfere with or oppose the activity of His perfect spiritual creation. The inspiring articles in the Christian Science periodicals were encouraging also.
