A number of years ago I became impatient with the need to wear glasses. Depending upon a material aid to see clearly seemed an imposition. For some time I had worn glasses when I went to the movies, when I read, and when I transcribed my notes as a secretary. The penalty for not wearing them was a severe headache.
Finally I decided to meet and resolve this challenge through prayer and the diligent study of Christian Science. I knew that in my true being I was the spiritual reflection of the all-seeing divine Mind. And I wholeheartedly accepted these statements in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 486): "Sight, hearing, all the spiritual senses of man, are eternal. They cannot be lost. Their reality and immortality are in Spirit and understanding, not in matter,—hence their permanence."
The healing came; I could see clearly. The glasses were discarded and the headaches disappeared. This healing took place over thirty years ago.
