It's past time for me to speak of my inestimable gratitude for Christian Science. What it has done for my family and me would fill a volume. There have been healings of physical ills; safety and protection; freedom from financial worries; noticeable improvements in behavior and character in myself and family members; and care for family pets. All areas of our lives have been improved by Christian Science actively studied and applied.

Starting as a very young pupil in the Christian Science Sunday School, I relied on the truthful teachings of Science all my early and teen years. I recall one healing in our family that was accomplished through our prayers. My mother fell about six feet from some playground equipment in a recreation area and landed with her back across a log. Her back seemed paralyzed, and she was unable to walk. Friends helped her onto the back seat of our car, and my father drove us the eighty miles to our home.

I had never known anything but God's care and control of every situation, and I remember that I felt no fear. My prayers were simple and confident of ever-present harmony. By the next morning Mother was up and completely healed. This healing seemed so natural and was a cause for deep gratitude.
