Participation in a branch church, including attendance at both...
Participation in a branch church, including attendance at both Sunday services and Wednesday testimony meetings and service in various church activities, has been important in my love for Christian Science. Over the years, raising a family has given me so many opportunities to prove the spiritual truths I love. I can say that every challenge has been met through prayer.
One of the greatest challenges was that of a nervous breakdown. This healing brought so much spiritual growth that I'd like to share it in the hope that it might help others.
After the birth of our third daughter, I found myself in a physical and mental condition that was very frightening. Everything I did was tiring, and with three children under four years old, I felt overwhelmed. I called my mother to see if my husband, children, and I could come for a week's vacation. She agreed, and I looked forward to having rest and her support as a Christian Scientist. (My husband was not a Scientist at that time but had agreed to my raising the children in Science.)
