My gratitude for Christian Science is unbounded
My gratitude for Christian Science is unbounded. Not only has this Science given me an understanding of who my creator is, it has also helped me to see my own birthright as God's beloved child.
Some time ago, when the idea of Christian Science was very new to me, a family member gave me a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. I was delighted to discover what the book taught of God as unchanging Love, a Deity who creates only good and causes neither evil nor disease. What I found difficult, however, was viewing myself with so many faults as His perfect child. Feeling unworthy, I put the book on a shelf.
One sleepless night five years later, I felt in utter agony regarding every aspect of my life. Nothing made sense. I felt helpless. Worst of all, I felt hopeless. Reaching out to God with all my heart, I implored His help. The answer came, clear as a directive, to take the Christian Science textbook off the shelf and read it.
