After becoming a student of Christian Science I found that whenever I read or thought of Christ Jesus' command "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15), I had a great desire to respond. I ended up writing a testimony, knowing in my heart that my motive was to obey that command; and I was filled with gratitude for the opportunity to contribute something to the Church. To my joy, the testimony was published in a Sentinel in April 1975, and I received some letters from individuals who had been helped by it. Since sharing that testimony I have had many proofs of God's ever-presence, guiding, guarding, and governing me and my family.
In 1979 my husband applied for and received a promotion that necessitated our moving. This was at a time when houses generally were not selling, because of high interest rates. But, as students of Christian Science, we knew we could, and must, trust God to meet our need. We prayerfully held to spiritual facts we had learned in Science, and we supported our prayers with absolute faith that God was in control. Wonderful results flowed from our faith and trust. Our house exactly met the needs of the family who bought it, and we were able to purchase a new house.
