Some of the dearest memories of my childhood were of sitting in my grandmother's bedroom, studying the Bible Lesson outlined in the Christian Science Quarterly. She was a devout Christian Scientist and a model of inspiration to me.
During one of those times, I had an instantaneous healing of a longstanding trouble with nosebleeds. A nosebleed would begin whenever I would go anywhere and when the least excitement would occur. I would also have two or three nosebleeds a day during warm weather. One day when my grandmother and I were reading the lesson as I sat there holding a tissue to my nose, a Bible story of a healing interested me. When we had finished, I took the Bible and reread the story. It was some time later that I realized I hadn't had another nosebleed since that day, and the healing has been permanent.
Christian Science continued to bless me through my teen and high-school years. I am especially grateful for all the helpful and dedicated Christian Science Sunday School teachers who taught me to cherish and practice spiritual healing.
