Just open the door!
Since the door to the kingdom of heaven is never locked, we can always enter in.
One day after playing outside, David decided he wanted to play with the toys in his room. So he went to the back door and knocked. He kept knocking on the door, waiting for someone to open it.
When his mother finally came and opened the door for David, she said, "The door wasn't locked. Why didn't you come in?" Then they both laughed at what had happened, and how silly it was for David to wait outside the door when he could have opened it himself.
This simple incident might illustrate the way many of us "wait" for the kingdom of heaven. Do we feel somehow left outside of God's kingdom, afraid it is locked up and someone has to come to let us in?
