"...There is clearly a tremendous religious hunger all around us. I can see it in my work as a teacher and as an analyst. People coming for analysis may say outright, 'I've lost a sense of meaning,' or 'Everything is flat,' or 'I can't find the point anymore of why I'm doing things,' or 'I want to be connected with people, with events, so things matter.' Students may ask frankly, 'How do you pray?' or 'How can I pray better?'
