Arrival
Patience is needed in the journey
The departure uncertain
The path unpredictable
Our progress rocky, scattered with stones
Step by step we advance
Rod in hand, staff beside
Checking every footfall
Measuring every distance
Until
Lifting our eyes from the ground
Aware of Love's sudden prodding
We look ahead, beyond, above.
The richness of God's great glory
Surrounds us shining
We find our Father, forgiving, has quickened the passage:
That instead of arriving
We have arrived—grateful, steady, refreshed, glorified!
