Reaching decisions through prayer
The basis for right decisions seems to vary from one situation to another and from one person to another. Financial circumstances, the weather, our education, age, or state of health are all considered factors in and even the basis for decisionmaking. At times we base our choices simply on what others might think of us.
Is there really a stable basis for making decisions—a basis that we can rely upon with confidence? The answer is definitely yes! Making truly effective decisions involves spiritualization of thought and a willingness to release human outlining. We must pray sincerely, "Thy will be done."

He had begun to think more in terms of material progress and material pleasures and had pursued them.
