Never isolated, never alone
All of us have times when we feel left behind, forgotten, alone. We reach out to find a comforting hand and find none. What do we do in such situations? Couldn't feelings like these turn us to God, who in His omnipresence has been there all along?
Learning to trust in God more, to listen, wait, and be patient for His guiding hand, may seem difficult. We may mistakenly feel we can't rely completely and freely upon something we do not see or touch, such as Spirit. But Christian Science shows how we can tangibly recognize God as our true confidant, friend, and companion. It shows how we find His ever-present help and guidance, and how we can be healed of feelings of isolation and loneliness.
This healing comes as we learn more of God. God's promise to Joshua is true for us: "As I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." Josh. 1:5. God also says, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Isa. 41:10.
