My mother took up the study of Christian Science when I was an infant, so I had the privilege of enrollment as a regular pupil in a Christian Science Sunday School. What I learned there of my inseparable relationship to God gave me a spiritual foundation and strength that helped me during my school years and later while raising my family. For harmony and health in our home, for guidance in employment, and for provision of supply I am deeply grateful to God.
After all these years of trusting God to meet all my needs, over a year ago I had the most severe trial of my faith and understanding when I went through a time of illness.
Thoughts that sustained me during the most difficult period were from this verse in Hymn No. 59 in the Christian Science Hymnal:
