Before I knew of Christian Science I doubted even the existence...
Before I knew of Christian Science I doubted even the existence of God. This was because as a teen-ager I'd become dissatisfied with what I had been taught about the nature of God. Still, I continued to look for an answer to the question "Is there a God?"
The first part of the answer came while I was being held prisoner during the Second World War. One day the thought came to me, almost as though spoken, "You can know reality." My mental response at the time was "I didn't ask to know reality." But I began to learn several years later, through the study of Christian Science, that all reality is in God. In fact one of the subjects for the weekly Bible Lessons outlined in the Christian Science Quarterly is "Reality."
