Since my first testimony appeared in an issue of the Sentinel...
Since my first testimony appeared in an issue of the Sentinel over thirty-five years ago, there have been so many healings and blessings that I feel impelled once more to express my gratitude for Christian Science.
In 1969 my husband and I traveled to Europe with a tour group. On one of our stops we stayed at a beautiful but isolated resort. Several people in our group became ill, and one day I, too, began to experience some of the same symptoms. Although I prayed diligently all afternoon, I kept feeling worse. There seemed to be no way of calling a Christian Science practitioner; I did not have an issue of The Christian Science Journal with me (which lists Christian Science practitioners), and I could not speak the local language.
Finally I decided I would spend all night, if necessary, studying Christian Science and praying about this condition. Not long after I had made this decision to hold fast to the truth of being, I found that I was feeling better. I went to bed at the usual time and woke the next morning feeling perfectly free and ready to travel.
