About two years ago I was standing outside my cottage with my little dog when suddenly he dashed out onto the road in front of an oncoming car. As I ran forward, calling to him, I tripped and fell heavily. The car stopped in time and the dog was unharmed. The driver of the car rushed to help me. I thanked him and assured him I would be all right, although I knew my arm was injured. Then I went back into my cottage.
Shortly after that my grandson called to see me on his way back to London. He and his wife had been spending a few days in their country cottage a few miles away. He stayed for a while and read some passages to me from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. One of the statements he read was (p. 521), "The harmony and immortality of man are intact."
After he left I rang a Christian Science practitioner, who lovingly agreed to help me through prayer. It was apparent by this time that my arm and wrist were broken. I cannot remember what the practitioner said to me except that I felt assured that everything God makes is in perfect harmony. She lovingly prayed for several days. At the end of that time the pain had gone and I felt I could cope. Each day I used my hand a little more. Within a few weeks I was healed.
