The land of promise
The topography of my heart was changed
as I journeyed,
being washed in streams of eternal grace—
scaling the plateaus of hope
and leaping valleys of depression
(self-will no longer a fog factor).
The land of howling wilderness became a land of promise.
I felt a house become a home,
because now I lived not by bread alone.
And as I climbed,
the wind of Spirit chiseled deeply into my soul.
My relationship to God became a LOVE affair
as I rose to a summit view,
hugging the mount of vision close to my awe-inspired heart!
