FOR CHILDREN
God does a lot for you
Our invitation to children in the June 11, 1984, Sentinel has brought in quite a harvest of poems and testimonies, and we have loved reading them all. We wish we could publish everything, but there isn't space.
Some boys and girls wrote about the same kinds of experiences. Sometimes they had quite different ideas. Almost everybody wrote about prayer. Some of you said you prayed by yourselves. Sometimes Mom or Dad or a practitioner prayed too. So maybe we should say something about what prayer is before you read more.
People who are studying Christian Science try to pray the way Christ Jesus did. That means getting still and quiet, so we can hear God. Prayer is listening to God more than telling Him what we want, or what we think He needs to know.
Enjoy 1 free Sentinel article or audio program each month, including content from 1898 to today.
