Resistance and long life
In the Mariposa Grove of sequoias in Yosemite National Park there is a little museum that tells the history of these great trees (which are among the oldest living things on earth). In this museum there is an exhibit called "Resistance—the key to long life."
Over a period of thousands of years these trees have successfully resisted the so-called destructive forces of the elements and stood tall, strong, and solid.
Is it possible for us today to resist, even overcome, the destructive forces of evil in the world and have longevity without decrepitude in our individual human experience?
