My last testimony was published in 1961, and it is time that I once again express my gratitude for Christian Science.
There have been many healings through the years. Lost articles have been found as a result of prayer, and miles of travel have been covered without untoward incidents.
A more recent healing stands out to me. An unsightly blemish appeared one day on my cheek and enlarged. I prayed and had the help of a dedicated Christian Science practitioner. The condition continued for a number of months and was highly visible to others. Well-meaning friends suggested I have it removed surgically. But I had not been under a doctor's care since I had first attended a Christian Science Sunday School as a new student of this religion many years earlier. So it was natural for me to decline recourse to surgery and rely steadfastly on God. The practitioner continued to pray faithfully for me. And I prayed for deeper spiritual insight that would enable me to discern the unreality of the disfigurement. My spiritual understanding grew.
