My gratitude for the Christian Science periodicals...
My gratitude for the Christian Science periodicals knows no bounds. These magazines have been faithful friends, always ready to share spiritual truths that bring needed comfort. I especially cherish the testimonies of healing, because they encourage and enlighten me, and give hope.
One day I noticed a sore developing under my upper arm. I was teaching school then and didn't feel I had the time to stop and attend to it. By evening the sore had become a large boil, and it was painful to lie down, nor could I sit comfortably. I found myself engulfed in fear over the symptoms.
Since I was unable to attend to my teaching, I took the rest of the week off from school and read and studied the Bible, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, and Mrs. Eddy's other writings. I especially spent time studying the chapter titled "Christian Science Practice."
