As a lifelong Christian Scientist, I can testify to having received abundant evidence of God's allness. These proofs of His omnipotence have given me a wonderful sense of freedom.
Once I had to deal with a protracted and difficult business matter. To bring it to a conclusion, I finally agreed to relinquish, under certain conditions, half of what was my rightful share of money. This lesser sum was to be paid to me over a period of seven years. Still, I felt I had been coerced into accepting a limitation and this rankled. I had been praying right along in Christian Science but could not seem to come to terms with this issue.
Then one day I asked myself, "Does God coerce?" Of course I knew that He certainly does not and I then reasoned that coercion was impossible. A month or so later the situation changed. Payment was made to me in full five years ahead of time, and considerable justice was evident in other directions as well.
