Gratitude to my mother for having raised me in Christian Science...
Gratitude to my mother for having raised me in Christian Science prompts me to share this testimony.
When I was a junior in high school, one day I became seriously ill during one of my classes. The school nurse took me home after a doctor had been notified. When we reached my home, my mother called a Christian Science practitioner. The doctor arrived soon and, after giving me a thorough examination, told my mother I had poliomyelitis.
The practitioner arrived as the doctor was leaving. She came to my bedside. Undisturbed by the physical diagnosis and symptoms, she firmly claimed my true identity as a child of God.
