FOR CHILDREN
A party of angels!
Stephanie and her friend Kelly were giving a gala party for their dolls. The dolls sat obediently in a row while their mamas washed their faces and combed their hair so they would be fresh and pretty for the party.
The dolls weren't the only ones made fancy for the afternoon's event. Stephanie's grandma had been a ballroom dancer and had given Stephanie boxes filled with party clothes and shoes. She and Kelly dressed up in Grandma's feather hats and veils (with sparkles!), strings of pink and gold beads, shiny earrings, and clackety high-heeled shoes. Each girl wore a long swishy gown, held up by a belt so she could dance without tripping.
They had red juice to serve from a pitcher, and peanut butter crackers arranged in a pie tin for hors d'oeuvres. While they played records, Stephanie and Kelly whirled and danced their dolls around the room. It was quite an affair.
