Lecturers with special responsibilities
The recent announcement of the new members of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, which appeared in The Christian Science Monitor, mentioned the appointment of lecturers with special responsibilities. These lecturers will only be called upon to lecture as assigned by The Christian Science Board of Directors under Article XXXII, Section 1, of the Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy. This section explains, "When the need is apparent, the Christian Science Board of Directors of The Mother Church may call on any member of this Board of Lectureship to lecture at such places and at such times as the cause of Christian Science demands."
Those serving in this capacity will be James K. Kyser, President of The Mother Church; Allison W. Phinney, Jr., Clerk; and Michael A. West, Treasurer. This would be in addition to any other speaking assignment their offices demand.
