Announce your identity
Some telephone companies advise us, "Announce your identity" when answering the phone. Probably few of us follow this instruction all the time, but these words can, in Christian Science, take on a deeper, healing meaning.
If asked to explain identity, one might say that it had something to do with being a named individual, living in a certain locality, holding down a worthwhile job, and having a circle of friends.
Identity on this basis would depend on others, on family and possessions, on being needed, and successful socially and in our work.
