At one time my hearing had so deteriorated that I was unable to understand any of the testimonies given at the Wednesday testimony meeting in our branch Church of Christ, Scientist.
Then about four years ago, while I was still experiencing the hearing difficulty, I was asked by the executive board of our branch church to serve as chairman of the lecture committee in our church. I doubted whether, under the circumstances, I should accept the position. But after prayerfully considering the matter, I decided to accept.
