Christ frees from sin
One of the great purposes of Christianity is to lead us compassionately away from sin and condemnation of the sinner. Acceptance of the Christ, and the regeneration this includes, replace condemnation with confidence in God's unwavering love and care for us as His spiritual ideas. Perverse and foolish oft I strayed,
But yet in love He sought me,
And on His shoulder gently laid,
And home, rejoicing, brought me. Hymnal, No. 330 .
