It is a joy to know that thousands of people are being healed and blessed through an understanding of the true facts of being as revealed in Christian Science.

On occasion, however, we may hear of a case where healing was not forthcoming, even perhaps after extended prayerful treatment. If this seems to be the situation with you, read on!

Consider a case of a similar sort from ancient times—a man who had been incapacitated for no less than thirty-eight years. He was one of many sick and infirm people who were patiently waiting at the pool of Bethesda in Jerusalem.^{See John 5:2-9 .}
