"It never was"
"It cannot be," "It never was,"
Yet error lingered on,
'Til Love divine dissolved the lie
And "never was" was gone.
No shots were fired, no swords unsheathed,
No battle lines were drawn,
As perfect Life was realized.
This brought a perfect dawn.
What seemed like time was progress,
What seemed like meekness, might.
The joy of demonstration came—
I felt the dove alight!
