For over seventy years Christian Science has benefited my life
For over seventy years Christian Science has benefited my life. I rejoice in the opportunity to tell the world of the blessings that have resulted from daily study of the Bible together with Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.
When I was three, my mother passed away, leaving six children. I was adopted by an aunt who was a fine Christian Scientist, and thus the seed of Truth was planted in my consciousness. Yet it lay dormant for many years. As an adult I experimented with social drinking and smoking. I also took medicine to relieve headaches that became increasingly worse, along with other problems. However, the time came when I greatly desired to join The Mother Church and a branch church. So I immediately gave up smoking and drinking, and the headaches disappeared.
At one point I was healed instantly of fear of flying after calling a Christian Science practitioner for help prior to my first flight. Not for one moment was I fearful. Rather, I enjoyed to the fullest this beautiful and thrilling experience, and I have enjoyed flying since then.
