God is omnipresent Light

Picture a ballerina spotlighted onstage. The rest of the stage is in darkness. The dancer's movements—their beauty and poetry—are clearly visible because the light envelops them. To the onlooker, there is only the figure within the circle of light. The area outside the circle becomes unimportant, unreal.

One might say that God is omnipresent Light—all around us, encircling us. We live, move, breathe, in His glorious radiance. There is nothing else—nothing else! No sickness, no shadows, no in-harmony. There is only the omnipresence of God.

Now, God's encircling light is not restricted to a particular area but is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient power, including individually and collectively His entire creation. This light expresses Life, the primal cause of existence. It blots out all darkness. The Bible tells us, "God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." I John 1:5. We are bathed in the radiance of this divine glory, or as Paul expressed it when explaining the presence of God to the Athenians: "In him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring." Acts 17:28.
