Before I learned of Christian Science over seven years ago, I never knew what it meant to be really happy and contented. I felt only that life was full of disappointments, inharmonious family relationships, and a lack of financial stability that would likely affect my studies. Also, I suffered from chronic anemia and prolapse of the uterus.

In March 1974, I found out about Christian Science through reading a copy of the Sentinel my brother got from one of the distribution boxes in Manila. I read it and was struck by a testimony that told how a man was healed of alcoholism.

I decided to look for (and found) the Christian Science church in our city and was lovingly received when I visited the Reading Room. At that time I decided to enroll in the Sunday School.
